Tenfold Ascension

Tenfold Ascension places a rising figure inside a submerged architectural world. Rib-like structures, bubbles and points of light pull the eye through a corridor that feels simultaneously anatomical, monumental and fluid.
Kimberly Nichole Reising develops her drawings through layered perception: forms are constructed, partly concealed and rediscovered as light and atmosphere shift. Within this environment, realism becomes a gateway into something less immediately identifiable.
The work also belongs to Reising’s investigation of reflection, hinged edges and repeating fields, where an individual image can become the beginning of a larger visual architecture.
